Built because I wanted it to exist. Keep tabs on 5-hour session resets, weekly rate limits, and monthly Anthropic API costs right in your system menu bar or tray.
brew install --cask dhyeytandel/tap/claude-usage-tracker
After the blocked launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll to the bottom. You'll see "Claude Usage Tracker was blocked." Click Open Anyway.
A confirmation dialog appears. Click Open — macOS remembers your choice and won't ask again.
Alternative (Terminal): Run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Claude Usage Tracker.app" to strip the quarantine flag in one shot.
Get notified immediately when Anthropic refreshes your limits. Sends alerts for natural 5-hour window decays and scheduled weekly digests.
Anthropic occasionally refreshes limits for everyone unexpectedly. The background tracker detects the drop and alerts you so you can resume building.
Comes with an explicit custom 3-way segmented control in Settings. Instantly toggle between Light, Dark, or match your System preferences.
The app encrypts your Admin API key and Telegram bot credentials using OS-level safeStorage (macOS Keychain / Windows DPAPI) before local persistence.
